That was the picture of the day, but I also have these I wanted to share. Since mom and dad have both our usual cameras, I've been using Tripp's camera and my webcam... a lot easier to use than the others -- so that's cool. :)
First off, here is a video of Bobby learning how to stand!! I mainly recorded it for Mama and Daddy-O who are out of town all week, but of course I'm happy to share with yous guys too. :D
Taken with my webcam after recording Bobby standing. :D
Francesca asked that I post new pictures of me, and since I was actually dressed and looking decent, this is what I gave her. :D
Playing around with Tripp's camera.
I was trying to get a close one with him when he started pulling my hair... this was the outcome, LOL! It hurt as bad as it looks.
... I finally managed to get a close one with him after being attacked, lol!
Hanging out with his mama in the Bumbo seat from Rahlene and Donna
After dinner out with Uncle Tripp. (Look at all that drool! Poor baby is teething big time!)
Life has been pretty sweet since I last posted... which was a while ago (seesh!).
I'm not longer sick, so WOO HOO!! That was the longest I've ever been sick, and it was rotten. Now that its over and the weather is changing, I plan to get back on my Couch to 5K routine.
Bobby got his two bottom teeth in and his behavior indicates that another one is working its way out... poor baby. He's also getting VERY good at getting where he wants to go in his walker. A week ago we saw him take deliberate steps forward towards the cat... that was awesome. He's also still working on crawling and is getting super close. He hasn't figured out how to stand up on his own yet, but once he gets into position (with very little help) he can stand on his own and hold on to rails and tables. You can tell he thinks he's the shiz when he does, lol! One thing I really love is what a lover he is... he lets us hug and kiss him as much as we want, and he enjoys just sitting in out laps and hanging out (for a while, lol). But my favorite moments by far are sleeping with him and cuddling up, and sharing meals together. We both LOOVE YoBaby Yogurt, so we often share a cup of that, or he'll have his cereal and veggie mix while I eat my food... and sometimes I'll give him nibbles of whatever I'm eating... its fun. He's a complete and total blast, even when he's being fussy and annoying, lol! <3
I've FINALLY tapped into my inherent cooking abilities! My mom comes from a long line of AMAZING cooks and she rocks the kitchen like a pro, but I have never really liked cooking. Baking is a different story... I've also enjoyed that. Its the actual stove-top cooking that I was against... I hated the stress of timing everything just right. *wuss* I assume becoming a stay-at-home-mom has something to do with it, and I'm glad! Downloading the Epicurious app to my iTouch was the best thing! I have found so many great recipes that have rocked the socks off my family! Like the African Curried Coconut Soup with Chickpeas, Mediterranean Vegetable-Cheese Pie, Molasses Muffins with Flax & Dates, Chickpea-Carrot Salad and Pasta with Goat Cheese, Lemon & Asparagus! Sooo yummy! I'm loving it! :D
Another good thing is that my BeautiControl business is getting back on its feet! Woo hoo! If you want some deals, shoot me an e-mail. ;D
Mama and Daddy-O are in Japan for the week for Far East Drill Competition, and we miss them. This is the longest mama has been away from Bobby since he was born, and the longest for Daddy since we got here in October... nobody is happy about it. The bright side is that Tripp and I get along sooo well when its just us (stupid sibling rivalry!), and we're having fun together with the baby. Its just too bad that EVERYONE in the general public thinks we are married!! Since I am not at all interested in meeting guys right now, I don't mind for myself... but I do feel kinda bad for Tripp, LOL! Oh well. ;)
One last thing... I've agreed to jump on the bandwagon and participate in the 365 Day Photo Project. My subject will be -- surprise surprise -- Robert Carlisle Goodman Floyd. :D Thanks to my friend Erika who not only suggested it, but also shared this recipe on her blog that is AWESOME!
That said, I'm going to post my Day 1 picture, and grab another cookie!
It has been over a week now that I have been home-bound sick. Fortunately, I'm on the tail end of this, but what that UNfortunately means is that I am constantly coughing, often with no relief. It has been a total drag, but to complain only makes me feel worse when I remember the billions of people out there who have it sooo much worse than I do.
I recently came across this amazing website that I really want to share with everyone I know. Granted, there are just half a dozen friends and family of mine who actually read this, but my hope is that each of you will take a few minutes to browse this site, find a cause or two that is important to you, and then share it with as many friends/family that you can.
What is really cool is that you are able to make a difference -- and you know every little bit helps -- just by signing on-line petitions, sending free e-cards and even just clicking a button on the page! If you follow the Gifts That Give More™ link you will find 170+ ways that you can have a direct impact helping those in need, from children to animals and women with breast cancer. There are also tons and tons of amazing and beautiful products that you can purchase for yourself or as a gift, and the money goes to charity. Its a win-win!
I have decided that on the 7th of every month I am going to donate the corresponding amount to how old my son is. For instance, this month on the 7th Robert will be 5 months old, so I will donate $5 to one of the charities. I hope that when my boy gets older and is able to understand our responsibility to help people, animals and our environment in need, that he will take it upon himself and enjoy doing just that. My Robert Carlisle has already made a difference in the world simply by being born and shifting my whole view on the world, and I have faith that the Lord has even bigger plans for him than I do. He has bigger plans for ALL of us.

I started my new workout routine today! I haven't worked out since, um, May. Shameful, I know. Grandma and Grandpa watched my baby boy while I went to the 1 hour spin class at the gym. Can I just say, HOLY FRACK!? Those seats on the bikes are NOT okay! Haha! If it wasn't for them I might actually go to another class, but I don't see that happening.
Running is much more my "thing," and I just downloaded the Couch to 5K app. to my iTouch. My BFF, Autumn, used the app. to prepare for the 5K run for breast cancer (go girl!), so I have proof it will work. ;D I'm looking forward to starting that tomorrow.
At the school where my family works they go on the block schedule, so every other day (A days & B days, how clever) they have different classes. The plan is for me to go to the gym on A days when my parents have a long lunch, and have Bobby hang out in the office with them. On B days I will either do Baby & Mommy Yoga on DVD, or use the situp bench we got my brother for Christmas. Woo Hoo!
The alone time today was nice (thank you so much, mama & daddy-o!), but nothing can beat the way my son reacted to seeing me after nearly 2 hours apart. Big smile, eyes lit up and the sweetest giggles... bliss. I am so blessed.
I’ve been such a lame blogger!Robert is now 4-months-old and so much has happened over the last couple months; we celebrated his 100 Day Birthday, a Korean tradition, by enjoying a lovely meal with Korean friends and sharing rice cakes with friends and strangers. We also celebrated baby’s first Christmas as a family, which was wonderful.God has blessed us by bringing us all together again… its great!
Being a stay-at-home-mom is cool!I enjoy our routine and having my boy to myself during the day.The winter here is cold… especially for this Texas girl… so we spend most days at home taking care of business.A few times a week we will go hang out with the family at school, which is fun!Bobby even has his own little “crib” in Mama’s office made of a boot storage locker! Lol!On days that Uncle Tripp has off work, we like to wander down town and have a great Korean or Thai lunch – YUM!
I’m SO happy with how quickly I’ve lost the baby weight, and am thisclose to getting my old skinny jeans to button closed! This Sunday marks the start of a new workout routine for this mama!Spin class on Sunday, then the iTouch Couch to 5k program on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and hopefully Mom & Baby yoga video at home Monday, Wednesday and Friday.I’ll be in those bad boy jeans once again!(Side note: I saw a thing on the news where a UK poll found that women fantasize more about fitting into their skinny jeans than they fantasize about sex.Go figure! ;) )
My RC Cola is nearing the end of his morning nap, so I should get some work done before he wakes up.I will try to update on here more often. <3
