Finally -- an update!!!
We have been here almost a month now and life is good! Its is so great to have my family all together, plus one. I'm surprised at how easily I've acclimated to the environment here -- hardly any culture shock at all. The food it AWESOME!!! Seriously.. awesome. And everything is so inexpensive. I haven't done any real shopping yet, but we're going out tomorrow since they are off work for Veteran's Day, so this time I'll probably go home with more than a happy belly. :D
Mom, dad and Tripp have been keeping busy with work and school, but Bobby and I have been taking it quite easy. Haha! We spend most of the time at home playing, changing and sleeping (while he sleeps I try to get stuff done around the house... or sleep with him, haha!). Until my BeautiControl products come in along with the rest of our household goods, I've picked up a couple "part-time jobs." I'm helping my parents upload grades (administrative stuff I find fun, lol), and every month I will be protoring SAT exams at the high school. I did that last Saturday... made $98 for sitting in a quiet room with a few kids, reading a repetitive script and relaxing for 5 hours. It probably sounds lame to most people, but I liked! The only thing that wasn't so good was being away from my baby for so long! That was the longest ever, and I missed him soo bad. I'm going to attend a meeting of the breastfeeding group on base next week, so hopefully I meet some nice ladies. I'm also going to start working out, which is loooong overdue! I have a Baby and Mommy Yoga movie and book coming in with everything else, too. :)
So yeah, life is good! Being a mom is the best thing that's ever happened to me and my life is filled with soo much joy. He is growing like a weed!!! He's talking so much and playing and rolling over... such a joy. <3 I will try to update more often from now on.
